Key projects

A gateway to Europe, Greater Lyon is becoming even more attractive thanks to major framework projects with an emphasis on its international dimension.

Major facilities will soon be installed to reinforce our conurbation:

	a tramway line, which will connect, in 2006, the Lyon-Saint-Exupéry airport to the Part-Dieu business district and train station,
	the construction of a 3,000 capacity hall in the Palais des congrès in the Cité internationale,
	the development of the Lyon Confluence project, through the creation of a new 1,200,000m² site, combining leisure, culture and accommodation facilities,
	the creation of a new district between Vaulx-en-Velin and Villeurbanne: the Carré de soie, a future leisure center,
	the Lyon Bioparc, a new business park focused on biotechnologies, installed on the Pôle Santé Rockefeller (health hub) site, a major element of the Lyon Rhône-Alpes Canceropole project,
	the development of the Lyon Vaise digital center with the siting of international companies,
	the continuation of the Lyon Gerland Biopole and the Technology Park projects, which contribute to make Lyon a powerful territory with high potential for development.
