A 113 hectare High Environmental Quality project to the east of Lyon

The ZAC des Gaulnes mixed development zone is essentially a project to extend the Meyzieu-Jonage industrial estate using 113 hectares of land alongside the T3 and Leslys tramlines, close to Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport.

A large-scale project to serve a dynamic industrial base

The existing Meyzieu-Jonage industrial estate covers an area of nearly 200 hectares. It is home to almost 200 companies which, between them, generate over 5,000 jobs.
1st phase of the project
During the first phase of the project, almost 44 hectares will be immediately marketed as plots ranging from 5,000 m² to several hectares.
 | Five hectares have already been sold to Merck Santé (based on the Meyzieu-Jonage industrial estate) for the construction of a delocalised Merck generics site (for the production of generic pharmaceutical products), and
|
 | another plot of almost four acres has been sold to a courier company. |
Two calls for tender were launched during 2007 for the construction of:
 | a business park on a 6.6 hectare plot and
|
 | a zone for mixed activities on a plot of 6 hectares. |
The final candidates will be selected in 2008; a further call for tender will also be launched in 2008 for the creation of a 5 hectare service/rest area for transport carriers.
2nd phase of the project
Studies for the second phase of the operation are already under way, which means the site should be open for business in two years' time.

Environmentally friendly architecture

The project’s landscaping blueprint covers 15 hectares. These areas will be home to technical facilities serving the ZAC des Gaulnes mixed development zone (rainwater drainage system, utilities networks, etc.).
This sizeable area will also include pedestrian and cycle routes linking the north and south of Meyzieu-Jonage industrial estate with the T3/Leslys tram station.

Shared services for greater efficiency

ARIM – the Association of Meyzieu Industrial Firms – offers member companies:
 | a catering service (self-service cafeteria, restaurant, VIP lounges),
|
 | meeting room rental,
|
 | a medical centre, and
|
 | a collective security service.
